Hiking in the Sierra de Montánchez in Extremadura, Spain. This path winds through olive and cork oaks growths, allowing occasional encounters with European Bee-eaters and Eurasian Eagle-owls.

  1. Which camera/lens combination are you using? Are you developing your own film and prints or just the film and then scanning the negatives?

    • This photo was made with a digital compact camera; the Canon G10.
I used to have my own darkroom (only B&W) but now my workflow is fully digital.
One day, I will scan my B&W negatives and give them a second life on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper.

  2. I’ve never used a digital Canon. I have a ‘point and shoot’ Sony H7. It’s a nice camera for a point and shoot model and it has an excellent zoom.

B&W is probably my favorite. I like color film to a certain extent. I suppose I prefer my digital when shooting for color, though.

I looked up the Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. That’s very interesting! When I have some more time (probably this weekend), I’ll go back and look around some more. There is some amazing art there.

  3. This is really lovely. I’m glad I found your blog, Philip. I’m looking forward to seeing more and to working my way back through your posts. Thank you for putting the work out there for all to see. Best, Keron Psillas
